Following up on years of extraordinary endeavors, in 2016 SI Swimsuit returned to its roots. Simply put, sometimes you just can’t beat beautiful girls on beautiful beaches. From Zanzibar to Bora Bora, and Petit St. Vincent to Turks and Caicos, sun and sand from across the globe were on display. But SI Swim does nothing simply. From Ashley Graham to Ronda Rousey, this year was also about pushing and breaking boundaries. Whether it was a conversation about beauty not being one size fits all, or how new technology was utilized on set, SI took the leap into an ultra-modern world. SI Swimsuit’s past was iconic, but the future has no limits.

The United States. Land of the free. Home of the brave. And host to every frame shot for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine in 2015. Watch as the models and crew of SI Swimsuit take on their latest challenge, executing the 2015 theme “Made in the U.S.A.”. Covering the vast span of the US is no easy task. Over 8 months 23 models, 2 athletes and more than 20 photographers, stylists and crew members combine to tackle all the majesty America has to offer. From the wetter than expected “Garden Island” of Kauai to the Mother of All Highways, Route 66, the super models discover unknown pieces of the country, and themselves, along an epic journey for the ages. Then, from the Pacific Northwest’s infamous fog to several of the country’s most famous national parks and monuments, the cast and crew bring beauty from the seas to the canyons in America’s heartland. Finally, the team completes their “Made in the U.S.A.” season with three distinctly different shoots focused in the Eastern portion of America. From an upscale working farm in Walland, TN to Captiva, FL to the US Virgin Islands, a dream team is assembled, and the crew completes their campaign with Hannah Davis’ striking cover shot, and another one of the best pictures of the year.
